We’re a family of 4 from the UK – Me (Lucinda), Alan, Josh (12) & Jake (6). We’re selling up and going mobile to travel the world and have some adventures.
The kids are home schooled and we run two businesses remotely while we travel. Alan runs a wedding DJ business. I have an online fitness & nutrition business and I also do some freelance copywriting too. This means we can continue to work while we travel – we just need to be sure we have internet connection!
We’ve never traveled before. Josh came along a little sooner than we had planned, so when our friends were off traveling the world we were home playing happy families. We’ve always talked about traveling once the kids we’re past the “little” stage and this year decided to take the plunge! We weren’t ready and we didn’t have a plan but it’s amazing what a deadline will do for you!
So, we move out of our house on 17th November 2016 and into Bessie, our caravan (you’ll hear more about her later). We’ll be there for 4 weeks then staying with family over Christmas before we head of on our travels!
We have a plan…. well some of one anyway… and I’ll be sharing our adventures and experiences here. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
Very curious about Bessie and your travel plans! We’ve been traveling for six months this year through Spain and Portugal, in a Hobby caravan. Do I understand correctly and do you plan to stay in the UK until after Christmas? Oh the rain and cold! Head down south as soon as you can is my advice 🙂
Yes, UK until Jan 5th but we’re staying with family from Mid Dec so it’ll be fine. Looking forward to the sunshine soon though! Oh how lovely! Where is your favourite place so far?
